Currently, our sorority consists of 72 active members, in which we
look forward to expanding this Recruitment season! Our philanthropy is the Women's Wellness Initiative, which means we are devoted to empowering and celebrating all women today and every day! Sigma Tau at Marist is very focused on fundraising and being involved with the community. We cater most of our fundraising events to two main organizations: Girls Who Code and Dress for Success. 然而, we are always looking for new opportunities to participate in fundraising and enjoy coming together to support causes that we all feel passionate about.

We value all of our members’ input and ideas and encourage all to speak up. Within our chapter, we host many events which we call "Sisterhood" events. These include activities like apple picking,
yoga, spin classes, trunk shows and "Tausgiving." Sisterhood events are great bonding experiences for all our members and we strongly value establishing a close knit community. Other bonding opportunities include weekly “Sister Dates,” where we go to lunch or get coffee to get to know all the girls in the sorority. When becoming a member of Sigma Tau, you are joining

• Oversees alumni relations and relationships with other Greek life organizations at Marist.

• Manages both national and local sorority dues which are collected from all members.
• Allocates funding for all sorority related activities/events.

• Oversees Tau Honor Council and ensures each member is abiding by sorority rules. 
• Serves as a helpful resource if anyone is facing issues within the sorority.

Chapter Business Meetings are held every Monday evening at 9:30 pm. Meeting locations could vary each week, but we typically meet in the Cabaret or Donnelly 225. 在分会会议期间, each Executive Officer will usually present a report and communicate any announcements regarding upcoming events, possible fundraising opportunities and other important information.

在一起, we discuss any ongoing issues and encourage our girls to suggest any new activities/possible events, while also engaging in small activities to help strengthen our bond!

To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
